ISLA

Stand on the lot on 44th Street in West Palm Beach and the story is already there. All around Northwood Shores a new city is rising, tower by tower, everything straining upward for a view. Isla stays close to the ground, on one of the largest lots in the neighborhood, with room to breathe and a garden of her own. Step off her shores and you’re minutes from Lamarina, the Cove and the newest spots in town. Step back through the gate and the noise falls away: a courtyard at her center, a pool, and the city gone still. She doesn’t chase the action. She lets it come to her. An island, in a rising sea.
